The college started its academic journey in the year 1998 with 6 branches of study, that included both UG and PG streams. The Excellency began this initiative is Col. Prof. Dr. Vel. R. Rangarajan, a visionary and philanthropist by nature. Our college is affiliated to University of Madras. This college runs under VEL Trust. Our college is one among the renowned educational institutions which caters holistic education to the students of various strata of the society, particularly to the students with poor economic background. The college is manned by highly qualified and dedicated faculty who always strive for the betterment and welfare of the students. Our college periodically organizes various events, such as Seminars, Workshops and Guest Lectures to equip our students with latest and recent trends that are evolving in their respective domain. Moreover, we have MOU with various industries, academic and trade bodies in order to arm our students with practical exposure. Our college is equipped with excellent infrastructure, which includes lab facilities, library and other amenities which provides platform for our students to learn in a amicable and stressless manner. Our college has been rendering yeoman service in the higher education arena. It contributed able Administrates, Academicians, Professionals, Scientists, Intellectuals, Social activists, Entrepreneurs and other personalities to the society. Milestones

Veltech Ranga Sanku Arts College was established in the year 1998. The meticulous effort of the Management, Staff Members and Students our Institution has flourished with the strength of 854. The Meritorious and university toppers were encouraged for their performance and they are given gold medals and Gold rings.

Origin and Growth

VEL TECH group of educational institutions was established in 1990 by a well known industrialist couple dedicated to public service, Dr.R.Rangarajan and Dr.R. Sakunthala Rangarajan, who by then had 30 years of experience in developing industries and international trade. What took off as a modest school now stands as a monument of glory for “Chennai city”. A student volume of above 12,000 throng the various educational institutions of VEL TECH group. Through complete hard work and principled living, the couple has been able to make these institutions tremendously successful by offering 59 courses including Post Graduate courses. Dr.R.Rangarajan is currently the Syndicate Member of University of Madras and Anna University. The long, dedicated, deligence and passionate expedition continues to the cause of building the nation. Since 1990, the cluster of following educational institutions was established under their trust in Avadi, Chennai.
