The Department of commerce was established in the year 1998 with one section. Due to the increased demand for the course by the students, we got a four intake in the year 2021 -2022. The department has adequate class rooms with required facilities to enable the students to have the conducive environment for their study. The Department at present has 17 faculty members with 587 students.

Our Department is visualized the need to educate the students to make them graduate and help them for post graduate studies and also committed to its role in improving talent pool employed currently in various sectors. Our students of B. Com get placed in various positions like management trainees, executives in Multi-National companies, Information Technology industries and other related companies.

The Faculty members are committed to nurture an environment for proper growth of intellectual insights on commerce & business aspects. During the formation of the syllabus, the focus was given to the current trend of the industries and the required skills and competencies to be acquired by the students.

The department provides gives a platform to the students to enhance their aptitude and attitude. The department emphasizes on the Moral, Social and Patriotic growth of students. The influence & the impact that the department creates is felt in the greater altitudes that the alumni have achieved both nationally and internationally

The Department of Commerce is constantly evolving in creating a fine balance of academics, co-curricular and extracurricular activities thereby exploring a whole bunch of opportunities to expand the horizon of learning. The student community is engaged with ideas of activity with practical experiences being the springboard for enlivening the learning process. The B.COM program describe accomplishments that graduates are expected to attain within five to seven years after graduation

PEO1 – Students will able to understand the concepts of commerce.

PEO2 – Programme aims to develop comprehensive professional skills which are required for commerce graduates.

PEO3 – Students will develop an understanding of various commerce functions such as finance, accounting, financial analysis, project evaluation, and cost accounting.
